Reloadable
You can add more funds to your Card at anytime from anywhere, up to £3,000 (or equivalent) in any 14 day period.

Prepaid
The Travellers Cheque Card is prepaid which means that before you go on holiday to Euro or USD destinations, you can lock in to an exchange rate before you travel. That way, you can avoid hidden foreign exchange charges that you would normally receive on credit or debit cards.

Funds never expire
The funds on the Travellers Cheque Card never expire which means that left over funds can be kept on the Card and used for future travel.**

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE PURCHASING THE CARD:

Quantities & Amounts
You can purchase up to four Cards per currency at any one time, only one of which can be in your name. Cards can be purchased for family and friends aged 16 or over. You will be responsible for any Cards you purchase for yourself or others. Further, there is a minimum initial load of £200 (or equivalent) per Card at the time of initial purchase and a total maximum load amount of £3000 (or equivalent) across all Cards, irrespective of currency.

Product Mix Recommendation
As no form of payment is universally accepted around the world, travellers should make sure to take an appropriate mix of funds - ie. the Travellers Cheque Card, some Travellers Cheques and your destination's local currency.

Payment Options
While the Travellers Cheque Card is issued by American Express, you have a choice of payment methods when ordering. You can use a debit, credit or charge card to get started.

Shipping and Activation
Delivery of the Card takes 3-5 days from the time American Express accepts your order. Before you go, you'll also need to activate your Card and PIN. You can find our more about this in our FAQ.

Card Usage
Once your Card is loaded, you can use it at ATMs that welcome the Card to withdraw up to £250 a day, or the equivalent in US$ or Euros. You can also use the Card to purchase goods and services in shops, hotels and restaurants, provided you have funds remaining.

*The ATM Finder is also known as the Express Cash ATM Finder to American Express Cardmembers. Travellers Cheque Card holders have automatic access to Express Cash ATMs and do not need to enroll in the Express Cash Program.
